This band depends on core fan support, just as has been discussed on the HeatGen recently and we all know as hardcore music fans. This is the first announcement of what can be done with Street Team/Shark members as we move into the Spring.
What are Street Sharks? Street sharks are dedicated fans who want to help support the band that they love in their own local market. Much logistical work has to be done in order to anticipate the band's arrival. Street team efforts help anchor the promoter's promotional work from a grassroots perspective. Representatives can help make sure that posters are put up around town, they can flier other shows and build some hype that helps attract new fans and returning fans alike. Some fans distribute newfie copies of other Radiators live recordings to turn on more fans. In return for helping out, we'd like to help offer free admission to the shows or limited edition posters where we can. Those offers aren't guaranteed, but all band support is welcome.
Thanks for your continued energy and support! Many of you do this already in your own communities and it does not go unnoticed. Band support is the most important driver to this growing community. 2003 is an exciting time for The Radiators, and in the words of Dave Malone, "WE LOVE Y'ALL!"
As new tour dates are announced, we will be reaching out to the Street Team mailing list for assistance in spreading the good word. We are working on the technology to add an online press kit, downloadable fliers and posters as well as other materials to help us all spread the word quickly and easily. In addition, we'd like to continue to increase awareness about the successful Radiators Live Downloads on nugs.net and livedownloads.com as well as the upcoming DVD and Live CD release.
One of the best ways to help promote the band is to use email to spread The Creepin' Vine newsletter of announcements to other interested music groups or individuals as well as promote the Ask The Rads feature of the new web site.
